TEST REVIEW

In the test I got a 88/100, whenever I get a high 80 on a test it is hard because I was 2 points away from an A. I left one part totally blank, it was the "polis" question. I didn't understand what it meant, I thought it was asking for ancient Greek words that came from polis. Not what words today came from the ancient Greek word polis. On the bonus question about "Denali" I knew it was something like that but couldn't put my finger on it, So I just described what it used to be and why it got changed. I didn't get the credit though, which was fair, I didn't answer what the question asked. Overall I am content with the grade I got , I could have done better but I will make sure I will do better next time.

Mercator VS. Peters Maps

The difference between Mercator and Peters maps.  At first glance they both seem very different in the way they look. The Mercator map looks like the one you've been shown all your life, in school to learn where the continents are. The Peters looks very different from the maps we know. Neither of them are wrong, it's just the perspective. Peters map is accurate in terms to size of continents, Mercator map is accurate in the way of shape and direction of continents. The Mercator map has the shape of the world and direction of the continents correct but if you want a more real portraition of the continents and the actual size of the land.  sources-- https://www.quora.com/Is-the-Gall-Peters-projection-map-accurate                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gall%E2%80%93Peters_projection
Blog       Today in class I had to make up a test I missed because of a game, we lost 3-2 at Loyola. In the test I left a question blank because I forgot it, It was #8. Today has been a very long one, I had to pack lunch today so it wasn't as good as it usually is. I also forgot my soccer socks for practice today so I got in trouble. Last practice we had was really fun, we did this mile run and we had to throw a tennis ball to each-other on the run. If we dropped the ball we had to do 10 push-ups each, We probably ended up doing 100 push-ups that practice. Sorry of todays blog is more random than usual, just been a slow day.
