This is a weird  time and the last 2 weeks have been hard to adjust to. It’s not easy being away from friends and sports. I am used to being very busy and not having alot of down time. Now it’s all down time and it’s been an adjustment. I am trying to stick to a schedule everyday so I don’t fall behind in any of my classwork and I still have time to do things I want to do around the house. It seems like there is a lot more work than if we were in the classroom. I guess it just seems that way because I have to figure out things on my own instead of listening to a teacher explain the work. I spend alot of time during the day trying to figure out what the teacher wants exactly. It’s not always clear in the directions and not having the teacher in person to ask has been tough. It’s so much easier to just raise your hand and ask the question in real time.  I understand this is hard on the teachers too. This is not good for anybody. It’s a hard way to learn. It really makes you miss school

Athens plague

In the second year of the Peloponnesian war plague struck Athens when they were least expecting it and it led to them losing the war. Just like the coronavirus outbreak came at a time when no one was expecting it and were not prepared for a pandemic. Unlike the plague that hit Athens, the coronavirus is all over the world and not just a city-state.

Cyber school

The first week of cyber school is done!! It is starting to become the norm already. I have mixed thoughts on cyber school, I like going to school and seeing friends much better. I feel like on cyber school it is easier to be a couch potato and not do anything with your day, a pro of cyber school is that you can make your own timeline and get things done whenever you feel. Personally I like to finish all my work in the morning so I have the rest of the day without it on my shoulders.

Socrates question

Socrates was put to death for going against the beliefs of the public and the officials. They believed that the general and commanders left soldiers behind while fleeting on ships. Socrates believed they should not have been put to death but he was alone in that thought. I think Socrates thought this way because he always saw the bigger picture and challenged other peoples thoughts to get them to expand their thoughts. Although if  was Socrates I would not of done what he did, t spare my life.

Athens plan unfolding

During the Peloponnesian War, Athens plan was starting be put into action to destroy Sparta, an enemy Greek city-state. All was well with Athens until plague hit, killing over 1/3 of the population at the time. The biggest toll the plague brought was the death of the cities figure head, Pericles, leaving him ill for 6 months. Pericles, Athens ruler through the war, died in 429 B.C. which had a great effect on the war and which led to Sparta being victorious. Pericles had plans to revamp Athens and to strengthen in from the inside out that he did not get to fulfill.
